History: On 8 December 1954, the friary of St. Anne was held to be no longer adequate in its function as the Provincial Curia and the building of a new friary and church commenced. On 7 December 1958, the church dedicated to the Immaculate Virgin (L’Immacolata) was inaugurated and on 28 May 1960 consecrated by Mgr. Mario Di Lieto.
Since 2 February 1963, it is a parish. The friary is the centre of the Provincial Curia and all the related offices. In the church in a side altar, on the right as one enters, is the tomb of the Servant of God Genoveffa De Troia, a Third Order Franciscan (1887-1949).
