Housed in the 18th-century Palazzo D'Autilia, the museum contains archaeological finds ranging from the Iron Age to Medieval times, including Daunia jugs decorated with geometrical designs, Greek pottery from the 5th to the 3rd century B.C., and bronze necklaces and buckles. Of particular interest is the Pasquale Rosario coin collection, which gives a historical panorama of ancient money, and the local pre-Roman mint.
The archaeological park connected to the museum is also open to visitors.

MUSEO CIVICO "CARLO GAETANO di NICASTRO" DI BOVINO

Founded in 1925, the museum is housed in the old Capuchin convent. It diplays objects from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages and the Roman and Medieval periods found in and around the town.
These include amphorae, weapon fragments, bowls, axes and lamps (from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages), a collection of 18th-century ceramics and a small collection of weapons. There is also a particularly interesting collection of human-shaped plinths from the 3rd century B.C.
Hours: Monday to Saturday, 10.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m.

MUSEO CIVICO "G. FIORELLI" DI LUCERA

The museum is named after Lucera-born Neapolitan archaeologist Giuseppe Fiorelli (1823-1896). It is housed in the 18th-century Palazzo De Nicastri-Cavalli.
Digs carried out in the area have uncovered early Christian, Roman and Medieval objects now on display in the museum. It comprises an epigraphic section, covering the early centuries of republican Rome to the late Empire and the early Christian period, containing honorific and sepulchral inscriptions.
The lapidary collection shows altars, memorial stones, capitals and marble fragments all coming from Luceria, a Roman colony of 314 B.C.
There is also a range of 13th-century Arab ceramics and a collection of statues which includes a Greco-Roman Marine Venus.
Completing the archaeological stock is a collection of 8,000 Roman, Byzantine and Medieval coins.
The museum's art section displays late 18th-century works from the Neapolitan School, including a particularly fine ceramic and wood nativity scene from Capodimonte.

MUSEO NAZIONALE DI MANFREDONIA

The museum is housed in the Aragon castle. This imposing fortification was built by Manfred to defend the town he founded in 1263. The museum was opened to the public in 1980. It contains finds from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, including a collection of worked limestone plinths from the Daunia civilisation dating from the 7th and 6th centuries B.C., found near the town.
Hours: Monday to Sunday, 8.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. and 3.30 to 7.30 p.m.
Closed on the first and last Mondays of the month

Displaying brooches, buckles, necklaces and sculptures found in local digs.
Founded in 1982 and opened to the public in 1990, the museum has a collection of funereal objects (brooches, buckles, necklaces and rings) and about twenty carved heads from 2,000 years ago found on mount Saraceno. The museum organises fixed-term exhibitions.
Hours: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

MUSEO DEVOZIONALE DELLA BASILICA DI SAN MICHELE

Housed in the Sanctuary of the Archangel Michael - San Michele Arcangelo (490 A.D.), the museum has a collection of religious objects from the Sanctuary's history (sacramental vestments, monstrances from the last hundred years and chalices). There is also an interesting collection of early 20th-century votive pictures and a 6th-7th century Byzantine icon. The tour concludes with a visit to the Lombard crypt, where the walls bear many inscriptions and lapidary finds from between the 6th nd 15th centuries.

The museum is housed in the old Franciscan Convent in the historical town centre and displays anthropological technology from the 17th to the early 20th century. The ground floor houses the bulkiest items, such as a tank for crushing olives and typical dry stone constructions such as pagliaio and calichéra. On the first floor is material related to the worship of the Archangel Michael, home utensils, work tools and craft workshops.

MUSEO CIVICO DI SAN FERDINANDO DI PUGLIA

Founded in 1984, the museum is divided into two sections. The archaeological section presents material from the Stone Age to the early Middle Ages; the ethnographic section conserves tools and other objects from peasant life. The former includes stone tools (axes, grindstones, picks, blades and chisels), Roman and Medieval epigraphs, fragments of oil jars and a range of pottery from the Daunian age. The latter presents cobbler's, builder's, umbrella-maker's tools, two wooden ploughs, old millstones and sieves. The tour is completed by a reconstruction of a schoolroom and a collection of old toys.
The museum is a repository for all the Bronze Age material found in the digs carried out by the Regional Archaeological Office.
Hours: Tuesday to Thursday, 5.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.

The museum exhibits Bronze Age archaeological material found in old Salpi. Digs in the Gargano and Daunia areas have produced early, middle and late Stone Age material and pieces from the Bronze and Iron Ages. Finds from the Hellenistic Age come from necropolis tombs at Pendicone and the Masseria Casone, dating back to the 4th and 3rd centuries B.C. Roman civilisation is represented by Imperial-age oil lamps, glass containers and pieces of glazed red ceramic vases. The geo-paleaeontological section contains prehistoric animal fossils found in quarries on the Gargano.

Sono raccolti reperti archeologici provenienti dalla necropoli di Monte Tabor risalenti al paleolitico inferiore, al mesolitico, al neolitico ed all'età del ferro
Il museo raccoglie reperti preistorici provenienti da scavi locali: ceramiche, frecce, lance, fibule di corredi tombali, monili e oggetti in ambra. Venne fondato nella seconda metà degli anni '70 dal Gruppo Archeologico S. Ferri.

The museum has a collection of archeaological material from the necropolis of Monte Tabor, dating from the late palaeolithic, mesolithic and neolithic periods and the Iron Age.
It also displays prehistoric finds from local digs - pottery, arrows, spears, buckles found in tombs, ornaments and objects in amber. The museum was founded in the 1970s by the S. Ferri Archaeological Group.

The museum is located in an old olive oil mill opposite the cathedral. Found in the local area, its exhibits (including complete sets of funereal objects) comprise finds going back as much as 10,000 years. There are spearheads and arrows and Daunian stone engravings from the 4th to the 1st century B.C.
